Secret Citizens gives a glimpse into the work and lives of people doing extraordinary things in everyday life.
Artist Mathew Halpin, originally from Australia, is the focus of our first episode. With his artists residency based in a deteriorating and largely abandoned part of the city of Heraklion (Iraklio) on the island of Crete, Greece, he has helped revitalise this struggling neighborhood and invigorated the local arts scene, by encouraging visiting Greek and international artists to contribute a mural to the many bare walls around Lakkos.
